The Friends of Magalies’ aim is to conserve the Magaliesberg Green Area between Wonderboom High School and the N1 highway.
Our Vision:
1. That the area is returned to its natural state in the next 10 to 20 years as it was approximately 100 years ago.
2. That the mountain is utilised for recreational and educational purposes by the community.
3. That invasive plant species are eradicated and that indigenous plant populations that have disappeared, are reintroduced.
4. That the whole area be comprehensively fenced with regular maintenance and patrols to maintain safety.
5. That the wildlife once found here thrives again – reintroduced where practical and beneficial to nature and people.
